WRGC Scholarship

Wankinquoah Rod & Gun Club Scholarship

Wayne Perkins was the Wankinquoah Rod & Gun Club (WRGC) president in 1980. He had a vision to start a scholarship fund for the club as a way to fulfill one of the missions of (WRGC), namely, to foster a love and respect for the outdoors, teach the next generation the skills necessary to become responsible and ethical sportspersons, and to provide our youth with opportunities to grow as leaders. The WRGC Scholarship program is a major way the club strives to achieve this mission.

The club’s first scholarship was awarded in 1981, and today the club awards more than $5,000 annually ranging from $200 to $1000 each. Some of our past members have been honored by having a scholarship named for them including the Cecil Foote, Schluter, and Krystolfolski scholarships.
